Accessibility Statement for the MADVC website



This website is run by the BA Graphic Media Design course team at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London (UAL). This accessibility statement applies to www.madvclcc.com. Other UAL websites have their own accessibility statements.

This website uses HTML 5 (HyperText Mark-up Language) and, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript to render content.

We commit to ensuring this website is as accessible as possible and we want as many people as possible to be able to use it. This means that you should be able to:

Disproportionate burden



Our embedded videos and other external media are hosted on third party platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo. These platforms do not yet fully support audio description so we are unable to provide this separate audio track. This fails WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 Audio Description (Pre-recorded).



Preparation of this accessibility statement


This statement was prepared on 15 May 2024.
This website was last tested on 15 May 2024. The test was carried out by employees of UAL.

We used the following automated accessibility tools, assistive technology and manual testing methods to test a sample of pages of our website. These included:

  • WAVE from WebAIM
  • Google Lighthouse
  • Manually auditing the alt text of all images
  • Manually checking colour contrast of text

A representative sample of template pages were tested, all unique root pages were tested.
