Where did you initially come from before joining DVC? What was your background?
I was a lost soul, doing jobs I wasn't interested in, stuck in a rut. Designing posters for gigs in my spare time, but never considered doing design as a job.

Why did you initially chose to do this course? I saw a 'Platform for Art' poster on the Underground and it said IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR LIFE, YOU CAN CHANGE IT. And I though OK then... and started looking for courses.

How do you remember your time? What do you remember most? Tony Pritchard was an absolute legend. The course was him. But also his assorted teachers Jeff White, Dave Dabner etc. each one unique and inspirational. It was a wonderful time. My best memory is cutting out type to lay out with glue. Jeff White was wonderful that day, and it was the first time I ever felt like a 'proper' designer.

Have you got any stories to share?
Trivia: I met my wife on the course. We have two children (yes the course has babies) - neither are called Tony, but I now regret not giving them both the middle name Tony or Pritchard.

What happened after the course? Where are you now? I quickly progressed from junior designer to global creative director. I've won hundreds of awards for design, creative direction and film making. I've even designed a few awards for Cannes Lions and Dubai Lynx. I'm in my happy place coming up with silly ideas for advertising and creative directing them.

How did you implement your experience from the course in your career?
Every time i design anything i have Jeff White's typographic guidance in my head and often take it all off the page and start again. But mostly, the course really did CHANGE MY LIFE! The poster was right...I could...
